CSA Newsletter Week 39/53 - Overflowing with Fall Crops

MOUNTAIN BOUNTY FARM NEWS
Week 39/53 of 2020

Dear Farm Members,

On Friday, when the air had cleared and the sky returned to blue at long last, we were reminded once more of what a gift it is to be able to spend our days outside. Farming isn’t easy, but moments like this are rewarding beyond measure. The fields of our Birchville farm site are overflowing with bed after bed of fall crops- beautiful to behold and worth driving by if you’re in the area! We’re excited for the opportunity to share all this goodness with you, and hope you’re enjoying the clear air and fall weather as much as we are.

THIS WEEK'S CSA CONTENTS

Thank you so much for your support of our CSA! This Friday, September 25th we will open our year-round Vegetable Shares, Winter Fruit Shares, and Early Spring Flower Shares for renewal.

Our Vegetable Shares are offered year-round and we are moving away from the "season" distinction we've used in the past. Subscription lengths and types vary. Make sure you are checking the delivery list each week and initialing for your shares. You can check how many paid deliveries you have remaining from your Member Dashboard.

If you have a pay every 4 delivery Vegetable Share, which automatically renews every 4 deliveries via credit card, you do not need to renew your share! These will continue until you choose to cancel, regardless of season.

If you have a pay every 4 delivery Summer Fruit Share, you WILL need to renew for the Winter Fruit Share. These shares DO NOT roll over.

Let us know if you have any questions about the renewal process.

HOW TO PICK UP YOUR CSA SHARES:

  1. Check the delivery list each week and initial for your order on the delivery list. As always, please only take what has been delivered for you.

  2. We ask that you only touch the box/bag/bouquet that are a part of your order.

  3. We are asking that you pick up your box from the site and take it home with you to prevent the amount of time you are spending at your CSA site. If you’d like to pack it into a reusable bag, please feel free to do that at your car. Please bring your empty box back each week for reuse.

  4. If you are sick, please send a friend to pick up for you and let them know about the pick up procedure.

  5. All produce has been packed by farm employees who are in good health and following our food safety policies.

Please wear a mask to your pick up site and practice social distancing.

If there's a problem, please take what we’ve delivered for you and contact us by email or phone.
If you share your subscription, please make sure you check in every week about who will pick up so one of you does not accidentally take someone else's order.
