WElcome to our CSA FARM CLUB!

HERE’s How it Works

  • Each week we deliver shares of vegetables, fruit and flowers to our convenient community pick up locations in Nevada City, Grass Valley, Penn Valley, Alta Sierra, San Juan Ridge, Truckee, Tahoe, Reno and Auburn.

  • We send out a weekly email newsletter with updates from the farm, what is included in the shares each week and recipe ideas.

  • During the designated pick up time, you visit your site to collect your weekly shares. There is a delivery list located at each site with a detailed list of what has been delivered for you. Sign the delivery list indicating you’ve picked up.

  • You can bring your own reusable bags to the site each week to unload your shares, or you take your wax cardboard boxes home. Just make sure you bring your Veggie boxes back each week and stack them neatly in an unfolded pile at the site each week. We are unable to reuse the Fruit Share Boxes and encourage you to recycle them.

  • Enjoy your fresh, organic, local produce!

OUR VEGETABLE SHARE

We grow staple vegetables because our member surveys show that it's important to have a steady supply of these: Lettuce, carrots, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn, broccoli, squashes, and greens like kale and chard. Our box “formula” includes a root vegetable, alium, bunched green, herb and lettuce in each box plus other speciality items as seasonally available.

Our Regular box contains a generous amount of just picked organic vegetables from our farm, averaging about 10-12 items. These shares are perfect for families of up to four and those who love to cook! The Small box contains 7-8 items and are great for those learning to love vegetables or parties of one to two.

What is Community Supported AGriculture?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) began as a grassroots movement for people to reestablish their connection to the land, their farmers, and their food. The model has evolved over the years, but began as a way for community members to support their farmer in the early season when they need capital to buy seeds and supplies before they have the resources. The farmer repays the member with their bounty throughout the season.

With our CSA, we aim to provide a reliable local source of the highest quality produce for our area, and to work towards the economic sustainability of our rural community. We also want the farm to be a place of inspiration and beauty, a place to reconnect to food and the joys of food culture. We hope that Mountain Bounty will be a farm to celebrate, a farm that you help create and sustain for the future.

Our COmmunity Supported Agriculture program

In the foothills of Sierra Nevada Mountains we are blessed with four distinct seasons, each offering a unique bounty. At Mountain Bounty farm we offer year round CSA shares reflecting each distinct season. We partner with Frog Hollow Farm and Little Boy Flowers to bring you the finest vegetables, fruits and flowers available.

I love the CSA so much! Y’all have the best produce. Reducing my carbon footprint and supporting my local economy are two values I hold dear and the fact that you all provide a means of doing that which doesn’t feel like a chore, more like a privilege is the best. Also, I love not having to think about what to make for dinner ever - I just make what is in my box! If I ever have to move, you will be one of the things that I miss the most.

Getting your CSA has made me more adventurous with my cooking. I love having a full supply of veggies and fruits every week and trying to figure out how to use it all. I eat healthier and visit the grocery store less. Win Win! Having a farm near the mountains that can supply us with wonderful, fresh, delicious, local produce enriches my life beyond words.
