CSA Newsletter Week 40/53 - Time to Renew

MOUNTAIN BOUNTY FARM NEWS

Week 40/53 of 2020

Dear CSA Members,

This week we will set a farm record for the most vegetable shares we've ever had. Each week it feels like we are at full capacity. And then somehow, we find ourselves saying, couldn't we handle a few more? It's been a year full of challenges in so many ways, but fortunately as we head into fall we are surrounded by beautiful and bountiful crops.

As a CSA farm, we have moved away from the Summer and Winter Season distinction we've used in the past. With extensions to our growing season and capabilities, along with developing relationships with our farm share partners, we are fully embracing offering a year-round CSA to our customers. When you purchase a vegetable CSA subscription to our farm, the best deal is to commit for 25 deliveries, no matter the time of year you sign up. This tells us that you are committed to our service and willing to pay up front, regardless of what the harvest holds. However, with the ever-changing models of food delivery, we understand the need for flexibility, which is why we introduced the pay-every-4-delivery subscription option in March. These shares automatically renew, every 4 weeks, via credit card, until you choose to cancel. We also added the capability of you to place yourself on hold, which extends your paid deliveries one week into the future.

For many of you, it's nearing the end of the 25 deliveries you committed to back in April. With our new software program, the Vegetable Share renewal process looks a little different and we're still getting it sorted out. We will send more information about how to renew this week. Don't worry, our Vegetable Shares will not sell out! In the meantime, our Winter Fruit Shares and Early Spring Flower Shares are available now.

We are so grateful for your support of our farm, our CSA, and our crew.

Thank you,

Farmer Grace

THIS WEEK'S CSA CONTENTS

Our Vegetable Shares are offered year-round and we are moving away from the Summer and Winter Season distinction we've used in the past. Subscription lengths and types vary. Make sure you are checking the delivery list each week and initialing for your shares. You can check how many paid deliveries you have remaining from your Member Dashboard.

If you have a pay-every-4-delivery Vegetable Share, you do not need to renew your share! These will continue until you choose to cancel.

HOW TO PICK UP YOUR CSA SHARES:

  1. Check the delivery list each week and initial for your order on the delivery list. As always, please only take what has been delivered for you.

  2. We ask that you only touch the box/bag/bouquet that are a part of your order.

  3. We are asking that you pick up your box from the site and take it home with you to prevent the amount of time you are spending at your CSA site. If you’d like to pack it into a reusable bag, please feel free to do that at your car. Please bring your empty box back each week for reuse.

  4. If you are sick, please send a friend to pick up for you and let them know about the pick up procedure.

  5. All produce has been packed by farm employees who are in good health and following our food safety policies.

Please wear a mask to your pick up site and practice social distancing.

If there's a problem, please take what we’ve delivered for you and contact us by email or phone.
If you share your subscription, please make sure you check in every week about who will pick up so one of you does not accidentally take someone else's order.
