MOUNTAIN BOUNTY FARM NEWS
Week 43/53 of 2020 

Dear Farm Members,

As we near the end of this incredibly chaotic season of farming, it is our joy and privilege to have finally found the time and bandwidth to attend a handful of farmers markets! Hopefully those of you who visit the downtown Nevada City market on Saturdays had the opportunity to wave from a proper distance, or to shop the booth and say ‘hi’ to our farmers. The decision to step back from the market this past summer was difficult to make, and we’ve missed the in-person connection that markets give us to our local community. Needless to say, we’re happy to be back at it. Next Saturday (October 24th) will be the last market we work during this short-but-sweet season, and we’d love to see your happy (masked) faces. We’ll be stocking our booth with all of the best fall vegetables, and maybe even a pumpkin or two. Hope to see you there!

Sign up for the Winter Fruit Share here. Fruit Shares are seasonal and you must renew each season. Winter Fruit Shares begin Wednesday, November 11th in Western Nevada County.

Recipes may sometimes call for more or less of a certain item in your boxes, or an ingredient you might not have on hand. We encourage you to enjoy the creativity associated with eating locally and seasonally.
