The Vegetable Share

Receive a generous variety of produce, delivered weekly to several locations in the Nevada City/ Grass Valley area, San Juan Ridge, and Truckee. Each week’s delivery yields its own unique harvest, picked fresh that day. You will sample over 150 varieties of vegetables and herbs. You can expect plenty of those favorite staple veggies, plus a healthy portion of the exotic and unusual. We put tremendous care and skill into growing superb produce for you. Quantity and variety progress with the season. Our weekly newsletter provides recipes, nutritional information, and farm news. Summer Vegetables
arugula, basil, beans, beets, bok choi, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, corn, cucumbers, culinary herbs, eggplant, fennel, garlic, kale, leeks, lettuce, melons, mustard greens, onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radishes, salad mix, scallions, spinach, summer squash, swiss chard, tatsoi, tomatoes, turnips, watermelons, winter squash

Standard Vegetable Share
(Mon. May 26/Thurs. May 29 to Mon. Nov. 3/Thurs. Nov. 6) Most members receive the standard share, which averages $20 per week ($23/week to Truckee) (about a grocery bag full of produce). As the season progresses and crops mature, the amount and variety of produce increases. The standard share is pre-boxed for your convenience. Our luscious melons are included in the vegetable shares.

Large Vegetable Share
(same dates as standard share) The large share provides a generous variety of vegetables for a family of 4 or a couple of serious veggie eaters and averages $37 per week ($39/week to Truckee) (two full grocery bags).

Vegetable Free Choice Area
All Standard and Large veggie share members have access to the vegetable free choice areas at the pickup sites. The free choices boxes will have additional amounts of items in your shares or other veggies that appeal more to some than to others (for example, arugula and hot peppers). You may help yourself to as much as you want from these boxes.
